A ministry raised to see Christ formed in troubled homes, restored marriages, transformed youths, and the minds of God's children — positively.
Joyce Enivieriowurulu Owoseni is the founder of Fatness Drops Ministry, a ministry established with a vision for the redemption of troubled homes, restoration of marriages, transformation of youths, and the positive formation of Christ in the lives and minds of God's children.
She was born on the 30th of November, 1975, to Chief Francis and Serah Ojelede Aimuanhonehi at Ugbia General Hospital, in the then Bendel State (now Edo State), Nigeria. She is from Udo, in Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Joyce began her education at Aunty Lucy Nursery and Primary School, Kano, where she studied between 1978 and 1985. In September 1985, she started her secondary education at Tony Cheta College before moving to B.U.K Staff Secondary School in 1987, where she graduated in 1992.
Between 1992 and 1993, she attended Kano State College of Arts and Science for her IJMB programme. In September 1993, she gained admission into the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University to study International Studies/Relations. After two years of ASUU strike, she graduated in April 1999 with a Second Class Upper (2.1) Bachelor of Science (B.Sc Hons) degree.
In 1996, Joyce met her husband, Deacon Shola Owoseni, at New Generation Bible Church, Kano, where they both worshipped and served. While he was in the prayer band and she was in the choir, their relationship began after a period of prayer and seeking God's direction. They courted for two years (1997–1999), and were married on the 13th of November, 1999, at New Generation Bible Church, Kano.
In 2000, Joyce was posted to Gombe State for her NYSC orientation. Due to marital reasons, she was later reposted to Abuja, where she served at the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
Joyce and her husband were blessed with their children — her first child on the 6th of November, 2000, her second child on the 10th of July, 2004, and her last child on the 27th of December, 2007.
Throughout her life, Joyce has been involved in different areas including business, education, leadership, and personal development — from selling water, ice blocks, snacks, toys, clothing, kitchen utensils, and baby items, to running an educational outfit and engaging in multi-level marketing (MLM).
In 2011, she obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), graduating with a CGPA of 4.32. She has also received training in leadership, management development skills, and is a certified Montessori educator.
After years of responding to the call of God on her life, Joyce accepted her ministerial assignment. Through divine leading, she received the name and vision of Fatness Drops Ministry — a ministry whose mission is the redemption of troubled homes, deviant behaviours, emotionally unstable youths, and marriages, and whose vision is to see Christ formed in marriages, youths, and the minds of God's children positively.
Joyce is a poet, writer, and author of two books published in the United States of America. Through her writing and teachings, she shares messages inspired by faith and spiritual insight. Beyond ministry, she is known as someone who loves writing, reading, watching brain-stimulating movies, spending time with her family, traditional culture, Esan songs, dancing, and speaking her language.
"I am married to the best husband in the world for me. A husband like mine is made in heaven."
Together with her husband, Deacon Shola Owoseni, Joyce continues to serve God and impact lives through Fatness Drops Ministry and Paths of Fatness Foundation, a registered NGO dedicated to blessing and helping many people.
